NL Tax Guide is a free, ad-supported site that helps internationals navigate Dutch tax and personal finance. No accounts, no paywalls, no email scraping.

How the numbers are built

Tax constants are pinned to the current year and verified against Belastingdienst publications, the Deloitte Belastingplan summary, and primary sources from rijksoverheid.nl and nhg.nl. The math lives in a small library inside the site so anyone can review it. A Vitest snapshot suite of known gross-to-net pairs runs on every change to catch regressions early.

Tax law has edge cases that no general calculator captures. For your personal situation, talk to a tax advisor.

How we make money

The site is funded by Google AdSense. We do not accept payment for editorial placement. Where we link to a broker, bank, or insurer through an affiliate link, that fact is disclosed on the page. Our recommendations are based on what works for expats, not on which partner pays the most.
